All our Team Players are initially hired because they can multi-task as we believe that work becomes drudgery when one only does one thing all day long. Although Partnerships demand expertise in a given area, our Team Members need a variety of skills within that area.
Below are major Team Members who form The Partnership of the Future. All believe in a team approach in order to better serve our clients' needs in the 21st century. All are seasoned and professional Team Members; they are members of Graphic Communications 432M/Teamsters; all put the needs of our clients first, working beyond the required business hours to make sure our clients get what they want, when they need it. Several work at EMAR/Will Copy and Print while engaged in other related environments. In particular, during Political Season, our Team Members work long hours to get printing delivered to frantic consultants, candidates and issue coordinators, on time. Partnership means: You can count on us!

Bill Beck
Team Member, EMAR large format division bill@willcopy.com
Bill has been involved in the printing field since 1981 when he moved to San Diego and purchased his own firm. Prior to that date, he was a high school teacher near Cleveland; and, after receiving his Doctoral from The Ohio State University, taught Teacher Education/Sociology at SMU in Dallas and the University of Arizona in Tucson. Upon discovering San Diego and Southern California, he left the academic life and, along with David Huskey, opened a small print shop in Downtown San Diego, where Will Copy and Print/EMAR large format division is still located. One employee remembers that Bill didn't know how to turn on a copy machines on his first day; but he has come full circle. In 1993, the shop was taken Union, Graphic Communications 432M/Teamsters, because the Partners believed in providing premier working conditions and wages for workers. Locally and nationally, Bill has been very involved in numerous organizations and political campaigns, generally as Finance Chair raising money for worthy candidates and causes. He brought the large format printing division called EMAR into play in 2007 and continues to play a significant role, along with Greg Evans. His claims to fame, according to him, are the two Tibetan Terriers that accompany him to the office everyday! He is known for being approachable, professional and fun, premier traits for a Team Member.

Thomas Diethert
Production/Delivery & Shipping Coordinator
graphics@willcopy.com
With a retail sales background, Thomas started with the company 3 years ago while looking for a new challenge. . .and, boy, did he find it! This Team Member has worked hard to coordinate both electronic and commercial printing schedules, while over-seeing deliveries locally and shipments to other cities and states. In a given day, Thomas will open the shop in downtown San Diego, prepare for the day, check computers and job schedules in order that others will be ready to go when they come in. During the day, he completes electronic jobs; coordinates pickups and deliveries; and over-sees new jobs that come in electronically at our Command Center. During the day, he prepares the printing schedule for the next day, making sure that paper, inks and other materials are there. Thomas hails from Minnesota, graduating with a BA degree from Winona State University.

Tami Parsons and Ellen Goodwin
Pre-press Design and Art production graphics@willcopy.com
Although located in separate buildings, Tami Parsons and Ellen Goodwin work as a Team in order that we can electronically design, produce, "pre-flight" and check artwork that we produce in-house and the files you email us. With our new FTP on-line, we are able to open larger files and we mean large files! Tami does design work and is particularly adept with production work; Ellen is the resident designer who created our logo and package when we moved to our present location in 2005. Within them, they have 42 years of experience in the field.
Bill and David have known Tami since she worked with old-fashioned typesetting and even paste-up on a Fifth Avenue shop called Melior's in the 1980s. She later set up her own business called Ken type and handles, along with Thomas and David, the production work for Will Copy and Print/EMAR. Tami is known for being both fast and thorough; and knowing her field extremely well. We think she is so good because she had many pre-press experiences when printing was very different and can draw on that knowledge. Her daughter recently graduated from San Diego State University.
For 17 years, Ellen Goodwin has been in the design field producing outstanding work. She graduated from La Jolla Advertising Arts College in 1988 and has worked for a variety of ad agencies of varying sizes. She has been doing free-lance design work since 1995. She says that she has no special type of design work, per se. "If it's in print, I do it. . .I tend to do quite alot of brochures (which I like), catalogs, stationery packages, training manuals, newsletters. . ." She adds that "I enjoy clients who are open to new ideas and are fun to work with." Ellen charges by the project, providing a verbal or written estimate before beginning. On a normal project, this outstanding professional provides 3 proofs to get the design direction narrowed down. Most projects allow for three rounds of proofing/changes before going to print. Ellen is a professional who works hard to get the client what he needs, at a reasonable cost. She lives in North Park. |

Steve Taylor and Larry Carter
Commercial Printing Professionals info@willcopy.com
Steve Taylor is Head Pressman/Printing Coordinator and Larry Carter is pressman for Will Copy and Print's commercial printing, excluding large format, and they do a heck of a job. Between them, there is 60 years in the printing field; they are masters of their trade and, occasionally, press repair.
We were fortunate that Steve joined Will Copy and Print. He is producing top-notch, quality work on our one-color press up to our Ryobi 3302 two tower press, on which he produces smaller qualities of four color work. Steve is highly organized and always works with other Team members to produce the type of sterling work for which we are known.
Larry Carter is known as one of the nicest guys in the printing field; and a great Team Member who goes out of his way to make sure we meet client deadlines. He is very organized and produces excellent work. He is also affiliated with Litho Equipment but still finds time to help out Will Copy and Print, especially during the Political Season. He has been involved in the printing field in various sorts for over 35 years. He and his wife Sheryl have 4 children, only one of whom lives in San Diego. He enjoys traveling across the United States, camping, NASCAR Races and weekends with his 6 year old granddaughter Macie.
